SEPTEMBER 25TH JOHN BONHAM/ZEP CELEBRATION TBL LONDON PUB MEET DETAILS

As previously mentioned, on Saturday September 25  we are holding an informal pub meet to celebrate the legacy of John Bonham and Led Zeppelin on the 30th anniversary of his passing.
The venue is the Marlborough Head pub at 24 North Audley Street London W1K 6WD. It’s situated just off the Marble Arch end off Oxford Street (Nearest tube stations are Bond Street and Marble Arch)

You can hear Robert Plants new Band Of Joy CD in it’s entirety on line at the player below. The on line streaming of the album, via NPR will be available until the album’s release on  September 14th.  Robert Plant will perform on the Monday, September 13 edition of NBC-TV‘s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”. The show will air at 12:35 a.m. ET (technically early Tuesday morning, September 14th ), the evening following his New York show.

JOHN PAUL JONES SURPRISE APPEARANCE AT NORWEGIAN FESTIVAL

John Paul Jones made a surprise appearance at the Punkt Festival in Kristiansand, in the south of Norway on Saturday  September 4th. John performed a solo piece that was a commissioned work for “Nearly Ninety” – formulated for the choreographer Merce Cunningham’s 90th birthday. He then remained on stage to be joined by Norwegian avant-garde/electro acoustic group Supersilent.

At 7pm on Saturday 4th September, the UK’s leading classic rock radio station PLANET ROCK will air an exclusive hour-long documentary interview with Black Country Communion. NEWS UPDATE: ROBERT PLANT ANNOUNCES NEW YORK SHOW

Robert Plant has announced a one-off show in New York on Sunday 12th September at the Bowery Ballroom, Delancey St., New York. Ticket go on sale noon today (Saturday) from www.ticketmaster
Following on from the successful show at The Forum in Kentish Town the next morning Robert appeared on the BBC 1 Morning News show, waxing lyrical about the Band Of Joy project and doing his best to ignore the Zepp to reform question. Check out the clip here from the www.bbc.co.uk website.

The above photo was taken by Tom Locke outside the Mannheim hotel Led Zeppelin were staying at during their two night stint at the Mannheim Eisstadion on July 2nd and 3rd 1980.  To the far left is John Paul Jones and you can see Robert in the centre. The man to the right of  JPJ is Michael Kirschner then the tour co-ordinator for WEA Records in Germany.
