Robert has recorded a duet with fellow West Midlands singer, Scott Matthews, which will appear on Scott’s second album, “Elsewhere” which is due for release in March. In an interview in the Galway Advertiser, Scott calls the track, “12 Harps” one of the standout tracks.

Tamworth artist Sue Verity is auctioning off a portrait of Robert Plant to be auctioned for Children in Need. The artist, a long time fan, tried to get in touch with Plant to have the artwork signed but was unsuccessful until she turned to the Wolverhampton Wanderers FC for help. They arranged a meeting with Robert, a long time Wolves supporter. Anyone wishing to bid for the item should go to the Sue Verity web site for further information.

It’s been brought to our attention that the New Inn public house in Cutnall Green, made famous for its appearance in the Zeppelin movie “The Song Remains The Same”, it’s the pub that John Bonham is seen driving up to in his Hot Rod and playing pool in during his fantasy segment in Moby Dick, is up for sale.

It has been reported on some news sites that Led Zeppelin will tour and record without Robert Plant – according to Jimmy Page’s manager.

First off, sincere thanks for the many emails I’ve received of support and good wishes following the Zavvi financial collapse that has put my job at severe risk. We knew there were problems for some weeks but having an administrator serve a notice on us in the store on Christmas Eve was a bitter pill to swallow and a big shock.
Currently we continue to trade as a potential buyer is sought – the uncertainty of it all is very worrying and there have been difficult times here and challenging times …
