Led Zeppelin Reissue Round -up:
Well once again the staying power of Led Zeppelin has been well and truly demonstrated with the incredible reaction to the news of the release of the first three reissues. The column inches racked up, both across the net and in hard print has been pretty phenomenal. Headlines such as the Independent’s ”Led Zeppelin are back with a whole lotta rock’’ emphasising that fact that this band is always in the present tense. All three of the super deluxe box sets entered the top ten Amazon …

‘’IT’S A BEAUTIFUL EVENING…’’ BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION TRIUMPH AT HIGH VOLTAGE FESTIVAL

All photos Gary Foy/TBL
At a sun blessed setting in London’s Victoria Park last night, Black Country Communion made a triumphant appearance at the Classic Rock High Voltage Festival.
The remorseless bass riffing of Black Country was met with huge applause from the crowd and it was quickly apparent that this was a band ready to take proceedings up to a level that did justice to the festival name. From there the loose loping groove of One Last Soul confirmed their intent and at the centre of it all was Glenn Hughes. …

GLENN HUGHES REVEALS A DARKER SIDE TO BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION 2 IN AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW IN THE FORTHCOMING NEW ISSUE OF THE TBL MAGAZINE

In an exclusive interview with Dave Lewis for the forthcoming TBL magazine, Glenn Hughes reveals that the new Black Country Communion album has a darker theme lyrically:
‘’For me the lyrics are darker. As usual I began with nothing but a blank canvas. After we recorded the last song for the first album which was Too Late For the Sun, the tank was empty.  So I am upstairs in my studio, the old lady’s sleeping, the dogs are downstairs, and the house was quiet. That was when I …

DAVE LEWIS DIARY: BACK TO EARLS COURT/ROBERT PLANT NIGHT AGAIN/WORLD RECORD STORE DAY/GLENN HUGHES

It was great to be back in the vacinity of those May daze of 1975 this week when a visit to the London Trade Book Fair took me back to Earls Court. Coming out of the tube and seeing that grand old building come into view is like catching up on some much missed distant relation. It will be a shame of this monument to so many historic occasions is allowed to disappear under the bulldozer in the name of so called progress.
I was at the fair with my good …

BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION VOTED BAND OF THE YEAR, RECORDING SECOND ALBUM AND GERMAN TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED

Black Country Communion were voted the Planet Rock Band Of The Year last week stealing the title away from regular winners Iron Maiden, who were second followed by Muse and Slash. Black Country Communion obviously didn’t get the memo and despite playing just two unbelievable concerts this year they have beaten several very big bands to win this category by some margin. An excellent album, several musicians at the top of their game, …
