Boot Led Zeppelin tribute band join 30th Anniversary Knebworth Celebration Day

knebworth-2008The forthcoming one day Knebworth Then As It Was Celebration Day at the Lytton Arms is shaping up to be a memorable event. Tribute band Boot Led Zeppelin will be performing a special Knebworth acoustic set in the late afternoon.

The event to be staged on Saturday August 8th 2009 at The Lytton Arms Park Lane, Old Knebworth SG3 6QB) will also be the first opportunity to by the new Dave Lewis compiled book Then As It Was Led Zeppelin At Knebworth 1979 – 30 years Gone.

*Each book is individually numbered and attendees of the event will be guaranteed the opportunity to buy a low number edition.

Other events lined up include a Video playbacks, Knebworth quiz, charity auction, guest speaker spots and Zep Knebworth merchandise on display and on sale.

Join us to mark the momentous 30th anniversary of the last UK Led Zeppelin gigs in the very area the historic events unfolded on August 4th and 11th 1979.

Important: We need to know the numbers upfront of how many are attending to organise buffet menus etc.

Main events kick off around 3.30pm and run through to 11pm

The excellent Lytton Arms pub (www.lyttonarms.co.uk) is situated near Knebworth Park itself and is accessible by road via junction 6 of the A1M. Surrounding hotels include the Novotel Knebworth Park (www.novotel.com) and Roebuck Inn Stevenage (www.roebuckinn.com where the Zep entourage stayed in ’79). Nearest train link is Knebworth Station situated 1.3 miles from the Lytton Arms pub.

Whilst in the area you could of course also visit the Knebworth House estate and grounds where the Knebworth gigs took place (visit www.knebworthhouse.com).

Then as it was …then again it will be. Come and meet like-minded fans to celebrate two of the most significant concerts ever staged in the UK – as on August 8th all roads lead back to Knebworth.
