Fabulous evening – I don’t think I’ve seen Robert as relaxed and as comfortable within a band.
Vocally the whole evening was sensational, Robert, as Id expected, maintains an impeccable standard – but the whole band sings and there are wonderful harmonies flying in all over the place. Robert Plant’s Band Of Joy album made an excellent first week showing on the UK official album charts entering at  number 3 in the UK (the highest for a Plant album since Pictures At Eleven). In the United States it sold 49,000 copies in its first week of release to debut at position No. 5 on The Billboard 200 chart.  Black Country Communion’s album topped the UK’s Rock album chart in its first week  and also entered the national UK chart at 13.

I can remember exactly where I was when the news of Jimi Hendrix death came through 40 years ago tomorrow. I was listening to the Tommy Vance Friday What’s New programme as I did most Fridays back then eager to hear the latest single releases.
