…AND STILL BIGGER THAN ANYONE ELSE…
Some DL thoughts…
The announcement of the Led Zeppelin Record Store Day special limited edition single on Tuesday, was met with what has become a familiar mixed bag of comments – some for, some very much against.
Call me a fool, but a limited edition single with two unreleased mixes of two of their finest achievements on yellow vinyl? Come on, what’s not to like!
Yes, the strategy of Record Store Day is by no means perfect – too many releases now …

TBL issues 1,2 and 3…
I was alerted over the weekend to an eBay sale that involved the original first three copies of the Tight But Loose magazine.
The three issues clocked up a high price with issue one attaining a £227 price tag, issue 2 £113 and issue three £130 –a combined total of £470.
Not bad for three A5 photocopied magazines written, designed and laid out in my bedroom during a twelve month period spanning October 1978 through to October 1979.
This comment regarding the eBay sale of the first three TBL …

‘’What fun we are having’’
To recap: I had been toying with attending one of Paul Rodgers Free Spirit gigs featuring Deborah Bonham and co. I cannot make the Royal Albert Hall date so I was looking at either Oxford or Leicester. As I was able to get the bus from Bedford through to Oxford, that date became the most feasible and at short notice …
