Buddy, Gurf, Dennis and Robert. Photo from Gurf Morlix my space site.
Some excellent photos have appeared on the my space social network site with Robert Plant in the studio with Buddy Miller and other musicians recording his forthcoming new album tentatively titled ‘It’s Rude To Say No”. The photos appear on Gurf Morlix’s my space site. Gurf Morlix is a much acclaimed guitar player and producer of Americana music. The photos show a relaxed Robert along with Buddy Miller, Dennis Crouch, Stuart Ducan, Jay Bellerose with Gurf on lap steel guitar. The album is set for release on Rounder Records in the late summer with the much anticipated tour kicking off in Memphis on July 13th.

Take back my earlier comment. Just heard direct from the source. Photos are from Toronto, Canada. Backstage recording of “…Leroy” featuring Robert and RP/AK touring band with special guest Gurf Morlix. Track appeared on Buddy Miller’s latest album.

Billy
Hey Dave,
Any chance these shots are in fact *not* from the recording sessions for the new Band of Joy album, but instead are from the abandoned “Raising Sand II” sessions? Note the musicians shown in all of these photos. Stuart Duncan, Jay Bellerose, Dennis Crouch, Buddy Miller – all from the RP/AK touring band. Not a Band of Joy member – other than Buddy – in sight.
Love,
Billy
