The photos show a relaxed Robert along with Buddy Miller, Dennis Crouch, Stuart Ducan, Jay Bellerose with Gurf on lap steel guitar. The album is set for release on Rounder Records in the late summer with the much anticipated tour kicking off in Memphis on July 13th.

Take back my earlier comment. Just heard direct from the source. Photos are from Toronto, Canada. Backstage recording of “…Leroy” featuring Robert and RP/AK touring band with special guest Gurf Morlix. Track appeared on Buddy Miller’s latest album.

    Love,
    Billy

    Hey Dave,
Any chance these shots are in fact *not* from the recording sessions for the new Band of Joy album, but instead are from the abandoned “Raising Sand II” sessions? Note the musicians shown in all of these photos. Stuart Duncan, Jay Bellerose, Dennis Crouch, Buddy Miller – all from the RP/AK touring band. Not a Band of Joy member – other than Buddy – in sight.

    Love,
