Black Country Communion are set to return to the studio at the beginning of January to record a follow up to their first album according to producer, Kevin Shirley in a recent interview. “We’re going to start January the 10th. The band will do a couple of dates in London in December, and then we’re going to record a new album. That was always the plan. My thinking was that, because everybody’s got their own things going on and they’re not sitting around waiting to be busy, they’re going to need a 90-minute set if they can be a stadium band by next summer, and the only way to have that much material is to have two albums in the can. I mean, these are amazing musicians, so I don’t want them to have to go out there and fill out their set with cover tunes and stuff like that. They deserve to be their own band and play their own songs.”

Black Country Communion first proper dates are Wolverhampton on the 29th December and London’s Sheppard Bush Empire on the 30th.

As deserved both Robert and TVC have been nominated for the grammy what an awesome way to end the year and a great way to begin the new; as I’m sure they will win (no bias here). In terms of Jimmy Page’s book, I couldn’t be more excitied, every time the UPS truck drives down my street I just hope its for me. To top it off Jimmy sings on for Pup Aid another passion close to my heart. Happy Holidays to All.

Black Country Communion has garnered much playing in my car and at work. Kind of liked it after the first couple of listenings, but totally love it now. Had to pass on Joe Bonamassa when he played in Rochester, NY in November (mainly ’cause I went to so many concerts this year and with seeing Robert Plant next month and XMas presents to buy, I thought I better play it low with the missus.)
Totally psyched for round 2 and hope to see then next summer.
Always looking for the only sound that matters (and usually find it)
