It was sad to hear of the passing of US singer Scott McKenzie age 73. His 1967 hippie anthem and worldwide hit San Francisco (Be sure to wear flowers in your hair) was of course an integral part of Led Zeppelin’s live performances of Dazed And Confused circa 1972 to 1975. RIP Scott.

Hi Dave, it`s a honour have my name in this post and it will be my pleasure share with TBL friends and crew all the informations I got about this first Plant brazilian tour. In 1994 and 1996 (with Page) he played only Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in a festival called Hollywood Rock. In the last one, The Black Crowes opened to Page & Plant and nobody could imagine at that time that Page will work with Crowes just 3 years and a half later. A curiosity: when the brazilian dates entered the official Robert Plant website, this thursday, they added a second date in Sao Paulo, at the same venue, the day after the first one schedulled. So it looks like Plant will play there October 22 & 23. I wrote it looks like because on the site where tickets will be sold (not working right now) the only date available is the first one. In Plant site the link to buy tickets is incorrect. The right one is livepass.com.br
The tickets for this show (up till now we only know prices for São Paulo) will coast 240 reais (£ 74,72) for general admission and 400 reais (£ 124,53) for the VIP sector, standing, in front of the stage but not a little space with few people. As everybody can see, the prices here in Brazil are the most expensive in the world – many reports were done about this overhere. It happens mainly because almost everybody manages to pay half price as students. I will keep sending news and curiosities about all this.
    Regards.
