Them Crooked Vultures kicked off their US tour last night with an appearance at Los Angeles Club Nokia, as soon as we get a review we will post it up in the Tour Watch Section. On Monday and Tuesday night the Vultures appeared on the highly rated Jimmy Kimmel show in the US performing Mind Eraser, No Chaser and Gunman on Monday and New Fang and Dead End Friends on Tuesday.
The Vultures have also added two more dates in Canada, those being Quebec City, Pavillion De La Jeunesse (May 11) and Montreal, CEPSUM Stadium (12).
The Vultures have lined up a special a 10” single in aid of World Record Store Day, April 17th. The Vultures single features Mind Eraser, No Chaser, “Highway 1” (Live From Sydney) and “Vulture Speak” (Interview with Band). The single is being distributed to partcipating Record Store outlets in a very low run and will be a collectors item for sure.
On Sunday night Jimmy Page attended the Bad Company show at Wembley Arena, Joe Perry was the support act and dedicated Train Kept A Rollin to Jimmy and closed the number with the riff of Whole Lotta Love. Paul Rodgers also thanked Jimmy from the stage .See photos at http://www.rosshalfin.
Check out the Mary J Blige version of Stairway To Heaven and Whole Lotta Love below, Stairway is very good, lots of strings and sweeping movements, far better than the Rolf Harris and Far Corporation version. Whole Lotta Love is big and done at break neck speed but again works in a dance version way. This has hit written all over it. Hats Off To Mary J!
Check out Stairway To Heaven and then give Whole Lotta Love a spin. Both tracks also appear on her latest album , Stronger With Each Tear.
And finally, if it’s different versions of Stairway To Heaven you seek, check out this site, Stairway To Hell , it features over a hundred different version of the Zeppelin classic – Stairway overload! (GF)
