This week marks the 43rd anniversary of the first dates of the final Led Zeppelin tour – a low key 14 date trek taking in Germany, Belgium, Holland, Austria and Switzerland. Howard Mylett Remembered : 12 Years Gone…
Monday June 19th, marks the 12th anniversary of the passing of Howard Mylett, the legendary Led Zeppelin collector and original author.
He wrote the first ever biography of Led Zeppelin published in 1976 and went on to write a series of superbly researched Zep books. .

My thoughts on the John Bonham Celebration III event in Redditch – Saturday, May 27 2023:
A day of mixed emotions…
I made an early 8am start to reach Redditch from Bedford via train, a journey that lined up as follows: Bedford to Kettering, Kettering to Leicester, Leicester to Birmingham and then Birmingham to Redditch. The first recordings I heard of the 1977 US tour was an echo laded audience tape from the April 28 Cleveland show. I had this arrive via one of my key collector contacts Russ Rees about a month after the gig. Latest update on the Becoming Led Zeppelin documentary…

“Becoming Led Zeppelin,” the feature-length documentary about the origins of Led Zeppelin, could finally be on the verge of being released after director Bernard MacMahon privately screened a new cut of the film in California.
The film was announced by Led Zeppelin in May 2019 and an initial cut was shown at the Venice and Telluride film festivals in September 2021, but there has been no word of its release since then. In September 2022, it was announced that the film was being …
