Them Crooked Vultures have posted a snippet of Scumbag Blues on their site – another of the new songs likely to feature on their debut album, which is due in late October.

Well Sam didn’t get to see Them Crooked Vultures as they performed on the Saturday at Reading. However, in a strange quirk of fate, long time TBL supporter Gary Wade’s son Josh did do as he attended The Leeds Festival on the Friday and rated TCV set as the highlight of the day. Co- incidentally both Sam and Josh were born within a day of each other at Bedford north wing hospital in 1990. Now they are off doing the festival thing just as their Dad’s did 30 years ago.

I am now commencing initial research for the next TBL Publishing project which will focus on Led Zeppelin’s final tour – the 14 shows that spanned Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany to form the Over Europe tour in the summer of 1980.

Late August and the summer is nearly over. Seems a second ago it started.
