This week marks the 35th anniversary of the first dates of the final Led Zeppelin tour – a low key 14 date trek taking in Germany, Belgium, Holland, Austria and Switzerland. Saving the best to last….
It takes just one announcement for them to be the most popular band in the word today…still…
That is how it was on Wednesday following the unveiling of the final three Led Zeppelin reissues. The reaction was completely overwhelming. It was another of those times when you realise just how much this thing means to so many people.
How pleasing too that the general consensus of opinion is a big thumbs up in terms of the Companion Disc content – particularly for Coda.

Atlantic/Swan Song have today officially announced the full details, track listing, formats and release date for the final three Led Zeppelin releases in the Led Zeppelin reissue series.
Presence, In Through The Out Door and Coda will be issued across multi formats on July 31, 2015.

The forthcoming issue of the TBL magazine -issue 39 is now well under production – text and lay out design is full on at StudioMix in Bedford via designer Mick Lowe. I am aiming at a late June publication.
If you are a current TBL 2015 subscriber (for which you will have previously received issue 38 which commenced the current three issue subscription), you will automatically receive this new issue TBL 39 as soon as it’s published. TBL issue 40 due later in the year then concludes the subscription.

Robert Plant Pays tribute to Ben E King:
Robert Plant has paid a heartfelt tribute to the soul legend Ben E King who sadly passed away aged 76 on April 30.
In a tribute for Uncut magazine he said:
