Led Zeppelin Honoured In Denmark 45 years to the day of their their first concert…
45 years ago on September 7th 1968, the line soon to be known as Led Zeppelin performed their very first concert in Gladsaxe Denmark.. The occasion was being marked yesterday with an unveiling of a plaque at the school they appeared at.

Robert Plant Presents The Sensational Space Shifters roll back to the UK this week for three long awaited appearances.  Tomorrow night they are in Bristol at the Colston Hall, on Saturday it’s to Stradbally Co Laois in Ireland for the Electric Picnic festival. Finally it’s back on familiar territory for a date on Monday at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall.
These are the first dates in the UK since last July’s Womad appearance and before that, the Gloucester SSS debut and HMV Forum show. It’s been too long…

John Bonham Memorial Statue Fund Plan:
This via the Redditch Standard
A Fund has been set-up to install a permanent memorial in the town to one of  Britain’s greatest musicians and arguably Redditch’s most famous resident.
The John Bonham Memorial Fund will aim to collect as much money as possible  to have a statue or sculpture erected in honour of the Led Zeppelin drummer who  was born, educated and grew up in Redditch.
It is hoped space will be found within the town centre for the statue, with  the bandstand area previously mooted.
