In yet more speculation the Friday Sept 26 edition of The Sun ran a story that Robert Plant has agreed to a Led Zeppelin tour next year. This has been picked up by a variety of news sources. No official confirmation of such a decision. has been forthcoming.

In an official statement released via robertplant.com, Robert has stated that he has no intention of touring with anyone for at least two years, and goes on to say that contrary to a spate of recent reports, he will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin

John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were in attendance at the annual GQ Men of The Year Awards in London on September 2. They were on hand to receive Led Zeppelin’s Outstanding Achievement award presented to them by Dave Grohl.

Rumours of a proposed Zep reunion show at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium have been denied in news stories circulating on the web this last week as follows: 
Legendary rockers LED ZEPPELIN have not booked Wales’ Millennium Stadium for a comeback gig, the venue’s manager has confirmed.
The veteran rockers reformed last year (07) for a one-off reunion concert in London, and rumours of a possible world tour have dogged the band ever since.

Led Zeppelin scooped the Best Live act award at the Mojo Honours List Award ceremony on Monday night in London. Both Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were in attendance and received the award jointly. Afterwards Jimmy spoke to Xfm radio. Asked if he’d tried to subsequently persuade vocalist Robert Plant to rejoin the band, Jimmy said “I’m not going to persuade anyone to do anything. It’s just like the O2, you do it in the spirit of your heart, don’t you? You either do it or you don’t.”

This week it was reported in the Daily Telegraph that after The Foo Fighters gig at Wembley, Jimmy Page said in an interview that the band (Led Zeppelin) were ready to reunite and perform more live events. But he said that fans could have to wait until Autumn 2009 as band members had to tie up individual projects first.

Whitesnake are the latest band to announce they are confident of receiving an invitation from Led Zeppelin to join them on a forthcoming world tour.
