On March 2nd , Rounder Records will be releasing Rounder Records’ 40th Anniversary Concert, an album of the concert that celebrated the label’s 40 years in the music industry. Recorded in October 2009 at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, the concert will also be presented as a PBS television special that will begin airing on the network in March, 2010 and released on DVD in May.

Two years gone and it still seems like a dream. Watching the DVD and playing the vinyl and CD’s today reminded me of the surreal feel that surrounded the whole event. Jimmy Page made a special appearance at the British School Rock Fest Urca Site in Rio De Janeiro on November 28th. He was there in support of the charities Task Brasil for Casa Jimmy. Former Zep fanzine Wearing And Tearing editor Mark Archer who works at the school was in attendance and reports ‘’Jimmy stayed for over two hours appearing on stage on three occasions to address the near three hundred gathered in the school.
