JIMMY PAGE PICTORIAL BOOK AVAILBLE FOR PRE-ORDER
The much anticipated pictorial autobiography of Jimmy Page is now available for pre-order from Genesis Publications with an expected shipping date set for June.
The book is being offered in two limited editions, the first, a Deluxe Edition which is numbered 1 to 350 with a price of £695, will be presented on archival art paper, with gilded edging and will be fully bound in a single morocco leather hide with gold-leaf “Zoso” blocking. It will be presented in an archival solander box with traditional felt lining to protect the leather-bound book. The second, the Collector’s Edition, this will be numbered 351 through 2,500, with a price of £395, again presented on archival art paper, with gilded edging and quarter bound in morocco leather with laser-cut Perspex cover boards and blocking in gold leaf. Presented in a silk-bound slipcase with morocco leather trim. Both editions are autographed by Jimmy Page.
The leather-bound books contain 650 photographs over 550+ pages, all chosen by Jimmy Page himself with an added narrative again by Jimmy.

At the time of going to press the Deluxe Edition has already sold out.
I’m actually not sad about missing out on the deluxe edition. I didn’t hear about the availability of this book until August of this year and by that time the deluxe edition was not an option for purchase as it had been completely sold out. The only difference between the collector’s edition and the deluxe is the clamshell case. (I believe the official term is “solander” case.) Anyhow the collector’s edition has a much larger photo of him on the binding and that to me is rather fantastic. I’ve been assured by Genesis that the content is exactly the same so it’s not even an issue. Not too much longer to wait now!
well done jimmy. good that you have wrote a book wish i could afford to purchase one but hey. for years ive been in hmv in london asking if there was a book by jimmy. your still the greatest and always will be. love you lots julie rose xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I have been waiting for this for several months now..I could not afford the Deluxe edition but will be quite happy with the Collectors.. For all of you griping about the price, you need to consider the fact that Pagey has hand-picked these pictures, written the captions and most IMPORTANTLY held each one of these books in THOSE hands and PERSONALLY signed them.. you know, the Hands he Plays the GUITAR with…Think about it… I only wish he would throw in one of his picks with each book and I do agree he needs to put out music and the O2 show on DVD as well…Peace…
I’m LUCKY enough to have been able to order the DELUXE edition, I’m guaranted number 96 or lower. Even though its been delayed it will be well worth the wait!!!!
Genesis puts out a beautiful product, nice to have Jimmy Page one of their offerings. I’m looking forward to seeing this when it’s completed, especially given Page’s attention to detail when he is personally in control.
Earh to Jimmy you should be making music instead.
The literary equivalent of a full-blown Led Zeppelin reunion in a garden shed.
I’m a little disappointed that Jimmy is collaborating on an historically important project that most fans will never get to see.
We’ve all waited for something like this, but at a standard book cost. All the leather bound luxury and rarity value is irrelevant to most fans. We just want Jimmy’s account of his life in pictures.
Hopefully sense will prevail and this material will ultimately be produced in an affordable format.
I’m thrilled to have been able to pre-order and get in on the collectors edition. I was informed by the company that the Deluxe editions sold out in less than 24-hours. This is an investment well worth the price, and its f&*%@#g Jimmy Page you can’t get any cooler in my book.
I was all kinds of excited when I saw this headline! I was ready to place an order….until I saw the price. Brought me quickly back to reality.
The Collector’s edition for me here in the States works out to over $600 US ! That doesn’t include the shipping & handling. I’m afraid I’ll just have to pass on this, no matter HOW badly I want to look at it! Sorry, Mr. Page….I don’t share your riches.
(The deluxe edition would have been over $1,000 US…)
De-luxe already sold out! Got my order in for the “Collectors Edition” through our distributor here in New Zealand. Grab it while you can!
i have been buying Genesis books for 20 years, they are not just books
but works of art. Also if you can’t pay in one go they allow you to pay
monthly.Def. worth every penny, also it will treble in value once it is sold out.
Unfortunently high end books is what Genesis do and JP is only following in the foot-steps of George Harrison and Derek Taylor. This is purely an investment opportunity for book collectors and nothing to do with rock and roll
A soft-back version for the fans later this year would be great…
Come on Jimmy, what about it… !
… and a free cd of unreleased live Zeppelin tracks would be a great bonus addition !
I was excited to hear about a new book from JP…. great i’ll treat myself OMG…! why has he decided to release something which is by far out of reach and out of pocket for most of us mortals…?
with respect-how can most fans afford this book?-it IS just a book-NOT a date w/JP himself…
what a price????
