Same here until they excluded him from their Unledded MTV appearance which made me realize how important he is to the band. It just wasn’t the same without Jonesy. Happy Birthday Jonesy

As a Zep fan for over 35 years I am ashamed to admit I totally underestimated the contribution to the music of JPJ, Celebration Day put that right, his contribution was imense, so much so I thought JPF and Jason were the stars of the film, I have listened to the cds again with renewed interest and attention.

Dylan wrote Roll On John for Lennon, I guess John Paul deserves it too! He’s been such a monumental player in every aspect. One of the four corner stones of the best band ever! He’s 25%, no more, no less.

    Dave,
It’s my 57th birthday today, which makes me ten years younger to the day than John Paul jones. Must be a song title in there somewhere!
    Happy new year.

    Dave,
It’s my birthday today. I’ve always been 10 years to the day younger than John Paul Jones! By the way, I was born on the same day as Mel Gibson. Whatever happened to him!
    Happy new year.
