LED ZEPPELIN CELEBRATION DAY WINS BEST ROCK ALBUM GRAMMY AWARD
Led Zeppelin finally won an individual Grammy Award last night at the 56th Awards Ceremony at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The Celebration Day album – recorded at the 02 reunion in 2007, beat off competion from Queen of The Stone Age, Kings Of Leon, Black Sabbath and David Bowie to take the Best Rock Album award. This is the first outright Grammy the band have won -previously they received a Lifetime Achievement award in 2005.
Kashmir from the Celebration Day album was also nominated in the Best Rock Performance category but lost out to Image Dragons Radio Active.
There were no members of the band in attendance. Other big winners included Black Sabbath and Paul McCartney.
