TBL Knebworth 30th Anniversary Celebration Day Planned
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Led Zeppelin at Knebworth we are planning a one day get together of fans. The date we are looking at is Saturday August 8 – the venue is a pub in old Knebworth about ten minutes walk from the actual park. This is an opportunity to return to the site of the final Led Zeppelin UK gigs exactly 30 years to the week it all happened.
The event will include Zep/Knebworth footage, memorabilia displays, charity auction and Q and A sessions. Admission will be £10. The price includes a buffet meal. It will run from around mid day to 11pm.
The event will also see the launch of the forthcoming Dave Lewis compiled book ‘’Then As It Was :Led Zeppelin At Knebworth – 30 Years Gone’’. The book chronicles this milestone event in rock history with the full story behind the band’s triumphant return to the stage – the build up to the event, the concerts themselves, the aftermath and the accompanying impact of their final studio album In Through The Out Door. The book also incorporates first hand accounts from fans who attended the gigs, interviews from the time and retrospective views. It’s illustrated throughout with rare photos and memorabilia. It will be published in a strict limited edition -more details on this shortly. The Knebworth Celebration event will be the first opportunity to buy the book and Dave Lewis will be in attendance to sign and talk about the book.

Hello TBL,
I have been a Zeppelin fan {and a fan of Dave Lewis} for a long time now. I saw Zeppelin at 16 years old {thanks to my cousin Mark from Queens, N.Y} in 1977 and the reunion shows after that. I also have been trying to get some ‘repo Led Zeppelin Stage Crew jerseys’ and the 30th anniversary of the Knebworth 79′ festival would be the perfect place to find these jerseys! It will be a little difficult for someone in the States {me} trying to get work off and a plane across the water unless it was planned well in advance. I think the idea is fantastic though…
I would say “thumbs up” on the idea for the 30th anniversary. If some of us in the USA cannot make it over their for it, we will be their in spirit.
Thanks, Rob/Boston
yep! We’re working on fixing it.. sorry for the inconvenience…
