On August 22nd Robert was one of the guests along with amongst others Steve Winwood, Brian May, Richard Thompson and Joe Brown on the special Bob Harris show to celebrate his 40th anniversary of Bob’s Radio one debut back in 1970.

Bob aired a pre recorded interview recorded a few days ago with Robert. Robert talked lucidly about his career and association with Bob including comments on Alexis Korner, Peter Grant and some perceptive and moving observations about the 02  – the moment Kashmir was aired after his reflections on the legacy of Led Zeppelin was a spine tingling one. Bringing the story up to date, Bob asked Robert about the making of the Band Of Joy album from which Angel Dance and House were played.

Aside from Robert’s input, the programme was a warm tribute to the legendary broadcaster. It can be heard on the BBC iPlayer this week at

On the night of his 62nd birthday Robert Plant appeared as one of the main attractions at the Steve Bull Charity Foundation launch.

The event for the former Wolves legend took place at the Sir Jack Hayward Suite at the Wolves Molineux ground. During the evening Robert performed a 45 minute set with a local Worcester based band The Underdogs concluding the set with Whole Lotta Love. He was also joined on stage by the Lindsey Morgan daughter of Wolves owner Steve Morgan.

The Steve Bull Foundation has been set up to raise funds for a range of groups supporting the sick and needy around the Black Country.

Quality video clip.Amusing contrast between Robert, the consummate old hand interviewee and the somewhat jittery Bully.
I wonder if he’ll be at White Hart Lane in September.Think I’ll take a camera just incase I bump into him !
