After the instant sell out of the Robert Plant Presents Senational Space Shifters Gloucester gig, his Facebook page has announced that “ A handful of tickets for the Guildhall concert have been pulled back and are being offered to fans. The O2 Show is set for release on DVD…., no not that one!…but the Rockwell O2 concert from  September 2009 which featured Robert Plant alongside a very similar line-up to his yet to be seen Space Shifters. Robert has donated a signed guitar to help raise money for the Lady Taverners in Cheshire.This is for a golf day to be  held at Carden Park, Cheshire on Friday April 20 -after which an auction will be held. Organiser of the event Chris Talbot said: “Robert Plant was to have attended the golf day; sadly he cannot now be with us. However, he has sent a guitar along with a photo of him signing it by way of authentication. The golf day is dedicated to Baroness Rachael Heyhoe-Flint as a thank you for all the work she has done for the charity. She is a board member at her beloved Wolves along with Robert Plant.”

Howard Shakes of the Alabama Shakes, has revealed an odd encounter with Robert Plant, who left their gig early to go home. Speaking to The Scotsman she said  “We still do (Led Zeppelin’s) ‘How Many More Times’, but we were like: ‘We can’t play his own song to him – that’s so cheesy!’ But he went home to bed before the end so we managed to fit it in.”
Her connection with the singer even went as far to being invited to stay in his house in Austin during this year’s SXSW festival – but it turned out to be an unexpectedly, frightening experience.
Howard explained: “It’s a lovely place but we’re pretty sure it’s haunted. I wouldn’t just say that, but sinks would turn on by themselves and there would be a knock at the door but no one was there.”.

John Paul Jones continued his ad -hoc apperances with blues man Seasick Steve, this time travelling to the most eastern point of Australia, Byron Bay, which is on the Northern coast of New South Wales.
John appeared alongside Steve and the Nordic drumming hero, Dan Magnusson Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 April at Australia’s premier music festival Bluesfest Byron Bay.
Other act on the bill included Buddy Guy, Canned Heat, Seasick Steve, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Yes, CS&N, John Fogerty playing Creedence, John Hiatt, G3, Brian Setzer, Keb Mo, and many others.
John played bass, lap steel guitar and mandolin during the set, the major surprise of the final evening was when Steve invited Andrew Stockdale and Wolfmother up on stage to play a song Steve and Andrew had penned earlier in the day. Andrew Stockdale is the lead singer and lead guitarist of Australian hard rock band Wolfmother and the paring of Steve, JPJ and the rocking local lads, Wolfmother, was for many, the highlight of the whole festival.
After the two festival shows, Steve and John Paul played at Corner Hotel (Melbourne) on April 10 and The Metro Theatre (Sydney) on April 12.
