Most groovy: Robert Plant

He’s best known as the fiery frontman of legendary rock band Led Zeppelin, but with his new outfit, the Sensational Shape Shifters, last Thursday, Plant seemed more tie-dye-lovin’ hippie than boisterous rock star.
Those expecting to hear the classics during the 80-minute set may have been disappointed – though the band performed a couple of Zep numbers, like Rock And Roll and Friends, others were transformed drastically.
Still, snippets of riffs from tunes like Ramble On and Black Dog were at least recognisable despite the songs’ new synth-heavy, bluesy arrangements.
And one can’t say a bad thing about the 64-year-old British musician’s inimitable vocal stylings, even if he’s had to lower the register in recent years. Groovy, baby
