I was lucky enough to get tickets to see the programme recorded. The programme “Live Floor Show” actually concentrates on stand up comedy. Normally, there are two musical interludes, with a different performer during each. Tonight was different in that Plant/Sensation performed both slots, one midway through the show, and one at the end.
Plant was in good form and his band included the new bassist who I believe is called Billy Fuller.
Onto the music. Whilst Song To The Siren is a great song, it doesn’t quite work in a studio where you suddenly switch from comedy to something that is sober and delicate. Siren is one side of the new Sensations double A-sided single, the other side is a remix of “Last Time I Saw Her” which is probably a bit too remixed for the band to attempt it. (Although there was some feeling in the bar that perhaps they might).
Gallows Pole was a complete contrast. Recognised by the Glasgow audience it had everyone up and bouncing. It received a great reception.
After Plant had finished with Gallows Pole, the studio producer indicated that he was happy with proceedings and that was it. Fortunately the compere, Dara O’Briain had other ideas…! With a bit of encouragement from the crowd, Sensations played Four Sticks to a great reception. People were dancing on the tables…literally!
A fun evening, and nice to see three great songs from the Sensation.

The version of Gallows Pole played was a special version arranged to fit the four minute slot at the end of the show. During the Sound Check/Rehearsal Robert and band played the 2 numbers and jammed a version of Battle Of Evermore.
At the end of the show after Gallows Pole the band played Four Sticks as an encore—AWESOME!!
