This from Patrice Guino
The evening started really well as we met Robert and the band when they arrived for the soundcheck at 4.30 pm, a few fans were there waiting by the side door. Robert was goog looking, very nice and chatty, he signed many autographs and posed for photos( as well as all the musicians).

People were already queueing even the doors were to be opened at 7.45 pm.

First time i was attending a concert in this all seated small theatre ( or big studio ) I managed to get a seat on the 4th row dead center, perfect view.

A sublime version of Shine it all around opens the set. From start to finish everyone attended a fantastic show, the news songs sounds absolutely great live and were welcome with the same enthousiasm as the old stuff (well almost) As always Robert is asking for the audience participation who went ‘mad’ and rushed to the stage after a few songs.

I’ve seen Robert a few times solo and this was probably the best gig i went to.His least record is one of his best and seeing him in these conditions is a little bit like having him playing in your dining room. They may have changed the order they played the songs as i don’t remember them ending the show with Babe i’m gonna leave you but with Mighty rearranger.

Well anyway that was a great night but that was not the end for a couple of friends and I.

There was a party afterwards with a buffet and an open bar for a 100 people in a studio next to the concert hall. Rachid Taha was there [ he jammed with robert on the Traffic tv show in Paris last month (see news 11th May with the link for pictures)] Robert came to the party with most of the band and stayed for an hour, once again he was in a very good mood signing autographs, talking to people etc…

Well that was a night to be remembered.
