Fantastic performances at Wolverhampton on both nights. Robert looked extremely relaxed and pleased to be finishing the tour at home. He remarked that he first played at the Civic Hall 41 years ago! [Some of the audience looked as though they might have been there then!!!] As usual the people around us were chatty and friendly and seemed to be really enjoying themselves. The audience left full of praise for a great evening’s entertainment and promising to go again. [More dates in the Midlands please Robert.] Highlights for me were a storming version of Tin Pan Valley and a re-worked When the Levee Breaks. I would like to say though, that many people attended both nights and although Robert made the comment that they had around 35 songs in their repertoire, the set list was almost the same both nights – I would like to have heard Shine it all Around, Dancing in Heaven , Mighty Rearranger, Thank You……. etc etc. Finally, many thanks to both John and Skin who gave my 10 year old son a special ‘thumbs up’ at the end of the show – sealing an excellent night. As my son said before falling asleep in the car on the way home “When are we going again?”

Thanks To Phil B for this review
Yeah – the 12th was ok by all accounts but the 13th was the dogs. Front row dead centre. Same set list for the 12th except that the last encore song was Ramble On. Plant & SS were in top form. Justin Adams collapsed in a heap after one too many twirls during the intro to “Hey Joe” much to the adulation of the crowd!! Good recovery though – don’t think Plant was best pleased to say the least with Adams taking the bite off his opening. Followed a bit later by Plant ceremoniously swinging microphone and lead in cartwheel fashion only for it to collide into the stage foot-lights – awesome – bit of a chuckle from the boy! Great show with an awesome What Is And What Should Never Be and Ramble On as the added bonus. Both the missus and I were well chuffed.
