It was good to see a fair amount of media fare acknowledging the 25th anniversary of Live Aid this week.

Robert Plant and The Band Of Joy – Robinson Centre Music Hall, Little Rock, AR

Robert’s second show with The Band Of Joy in Little Rock was another triumph. The big set list suprise was the performance of  Over The Hills And Far Away, played prior to Gallows Pole making it a four song Zeppelin run in with Thank You and Rock & Roll following as encores to close the set. Buddy Miller also performed Trouble with Robert on harmonica. Full set list below may need comfirmation -if you were there- let us know.

Robert Plant and The Band Of Joy play their first date at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis today which has been declared ‘’Robert Plant Day’’ in the city.

Them Crooked Vultures took what may, or may not be their last UK  bow last night at a triumphant finale at London’s Brixton 02 Academy.  As Josh Homme noted, it brought the band full circle as it was here last August that the Vultures first announced themselves at a low key support slot to the Arctic Monkeys.

JULY 7TH UPDATE: ROBERT PLANT UK TOUR – DUBLIN DATE ANNOUNCED

STOP PRESS: Robert Plant has announced  an Irish date to his UK tour – the show  at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre is set for November 1st. Tickets  go on sale Friday July 9th priced at €55 and €60 plus booking fee.
