Nearly missed the gig as my flight from Azerbaijan was late and made me miss my connection in Frankfurt….here my little review and pictures from an ace night.

Dave Rawlings is best known for playing second banjo to his partner Gillian Welch but Dave Rawlings Machine is his opportunity to take charge and, in this support slot to his friends, associates and sometime band mates Old Crow Medicine Show, it looked like he might run away with all the glory.

Them Crooked Vultures took what may, or may not be their last UK  bow last night at a triumphant finale at London’s Brixton 02 Academy.  As Josh Homme noted, it brought the band full circle as it was here last August that the Vultures first announced themselves at a low key support slot to the Arctic Monkeys.
