33 years ago today I was about to commence a seven night stint in the company of Led Zeppelin….or to be more specific their film The Song Remains The Same.

This week it was Perth’s job to welcome super-group of the noughties Them Crooked Vultures to Australia.
The frantic crowd was cheering as soon as the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl, Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones and Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme stepped foot on stage.
When frontman Homme took the microphone and shouted “are you ready to have a good time?”, the crowd were quick to answer.

UK tribute band Boot Led Zeppelin will be celebrating the 35th anniversary of the famous Zep Earls Court shows with a showcase gig on Saturday March 27th. The venue is the Shepherds Bush Empire in London. Boot Led Zeppelin will be recreating the magic of Zep in ’75 with a special Earls Court set list and TBL will be in attendance on the night – more details to follow. On March 2nd , Rounder Records will be releasing Rounder Records’ 40th Anniversary Concert, an album of the concert that celebrated the label’s 40 years in the music industry. Recorded in October 2009 at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, the concert will also be presented as a PBS television special that will begin airing on the network in March, 2010 and released on DVD in May.

After last week’s flurry of Zep related activity it’s been down to work with a ton of planning to do for this year’s TBL schedule.
