Many news agencies are reporting that Jimmy Page has been confirmed to play at the first annual Show Of Peace Concert, a environmental awareness event, which is scheduled to take place on April 17th 2010 at Beijing, China’s ‘Birds Nest’ stadium, the stadium Jimmy performed with Leona Lewis at the closing ceremony of last year’s Olympic Games. In addition to the 100,000 attendees expected at the concert there are also plans to televise the event worldwide.

In an interview with Sky News, Jimmy stated his intention to be out playing in 2010. “Next year, I have every intention of playing music live and making it — manifesting it. I’ve got it. Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin are to feature exclusively on a BBC 6 Music. The programme, Jimmy Page and the BBC Sessions, will be broadcast in two parts on Christmas Day (25 December).
You can hear Part 1, Led Zeppelin in 1969, on 6 Music between 1200-1300 GMT, with Part 2, Led Zeppelin in 1971, on-air between 2100-2200.

Jimmy Page made a special appearance at the British School Rock Fest Urca Site in Rio De Janeiro on November 28th. He was there in support of the charities Task Brasil for Casa Jimmy. Former Zep fanzine Wearing And Tearing editor Mark Archer who works at the school was in attendance and reports ‘’Jimmy stayed for over two hours appearing on stage on three occasions to address the near three hundred gathered in the school.
