Dave Rawlings is best known for playing second banjo to his partner Gillian Welch but Dave Rawlings Machine is his opportunity to take charge and, in this support slot to his friends, associates and sometime band mates Old Crow Medicine Show, it looked like he might run away with all the glory.

Robert Plant and The Band Of Joy made a surprise appearance at the Americana 2010 Award Show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, last night (9th September).
The band performed a 30-minute performance of songs from their upcoming album including Monkey, House Of Cards, Harms Swift Way, Satan Your Kingdom Must Come Down and We Bid You Good Night at the end of the evenings awards ceremony.
