Kashmir Rocks Britains Got Talent

After Adam Lambert’s much talked about version of Whole Lotta Love, two weeks ago on American Idol, this week it was the turn of Britain’s Got Talent and a performance from last years finalist, Escala with a blistering version of Kashmir. The performance was watched by over 15 million viewers. Escala are the all female four piece string quartet, who narrowly missed out in last years “Talent” final but immediately secured a £1.5m deal with music mogul Simon Cowell who saw their potential and took them under his wing.

TBL Knebworth 30th Anniversary Celebration Day Planned

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Led Zeppelin at Knebworth we are planning a one day get together of fans. The date we are looking at is Saturday August 8 – the venue is a pub in old Knebworth about ten minutes walk from the actual park. This is an opportunity to return to the site of the final Led Zeppelin UK gigs exactly 30 years to the week it all happened.
The event will include Zep/Knebworth footage, memorabilia displays, charity auction and Q and A sessions. Admission will be £10. …

Living In The Past / On A Blind Date in 1979 / May Daze in 1975

End of an Era… Play Led Zeppelin

Well the doors have finally shut on Zavvi Milton Keynes signifying the end of an era. In the end it was a slow death – eight weeks of rumour,counter rumour and many ups and downs. Even on the morning of the announcement last Wednesday, I felt there might be a last reprieve. A few stores were snapped up by HMV and word has it a deal was nearly inked for the Milton Keynes store to be part of the new Head Entertainment chain set up by the former Zavvi MD. …

Piece of Zeppelin history up for sale

It’s been brought to our attention that the New Inn public house in Cutnall Green, made famous for its appearance in the Zeppelin movie “The Song Remains The Same”, it’s the pub that John Bonham is seen driving up to in his Hot Rod and playing pool in during his fantasy segment in Moby Dick, is up for sale.
