i was off on friday 4 september when the tickets for the uk shows went on sale; 10am. i was logged on hours before, to make sure and was shaking like a leaf in anticipation as 10am approached (christ, i’m 40 years old, what an admission!!!) for a minute i thought the website was gonna crash as the page froze but thankfully the confirmation came through, I HAD MY TICKETS!!! edinburgh corn exchange 15 december.
bought the cd, read the reviews (uncut january, quote; jones, by the way, look at him! was he perhaps in some healthier, more jogging based led zeppelin?) only adding to the expectation of the gig.
the gig? mindblowing!! jones was like a wee kid, half his age, grinning like an idiot. grohl was unbelievable, he MUST be on something to maintain drumming like that. the pair of them locked in so bloody well. i only wished i had four pairs of eyes coz it was impossible to decide who to watch.
