This from Russell Ritchin
I attended the Steve Hackett concert at the Empire on Saturday. It was was excellent as usual. About halfway through, Steve remarked he had a couple of special guests to come on (although he did not say who). One of these turned out to be his brother who used to tour with him in the earlier part of his solo career when he left Genesis. The last guest brought the house down when for the last number (Los Endos) I believe Steve said “Please welcome my special guest, Mr John Paul Jones.”

I’m not sure what the guitar Jonesey was playing other than to describe it as completely metallic and slung very low off his shoulder. A bit like a pedal steel guitar but unique shape, to say he added something to this number is a understatement !!
I think most people just wanted the song never to end the ovation afterwards went on and on and on but by then it was pushing 11pm so much to everyones sadness left the stage. I was front row and you could see how much John and Steve really enjoyed playing together (another 2 hours would have been nice!!) but it was a terrific end to already great concert
