The Martin D28 acoustic guitar owned and used by Jimmy Page and donated by him in aid of the ABC Trust raised a remarkable £21,000 at the Bonhams Entertainment/Memorabilia sale this afternoon July 2nd.

John Paul Jones with Seasick Steve at Glastonbury:
The official Glastonbury programme reveals that John Paul Jones will be joining Seasick Steve for his appearance at Glastonbury on Friday night June 28th. Seasick appears at the West Holt stage at 20.30 hours. After contributing to Seasick’s album Hubcap Music, John has been performing with Seasick at selected concerts recently and in May also linked up with him for an appearance on Later with Jools Holland. Two years ago on June 19th 2011, Howard Mylett, the legendary Led Zeppelin collector and original author sadly passed way.

Jimmy Page has donated for auction the Martin acoustic guitar which he played at the Roy Harper 70th birthday concert at the Royal Albert Hall to the ABC Trust . The guitar is to be auctioned by Bonhams Auctioneers with the proceeds going to Action For Brazilian Children charity.
The auction takes place at 1300hrs on July 3rd.

I counted them all in and I counted them all back out…TBL 35 is on the streets and aside from editing it and writing a fair bit of it, I stuck every stamp and label on, signed and numbered every copy and stuffed them in envelopes and took them to be posted over several trips…and all that effort is absolutely worth it for initial reaction such as this…

May 31st marks the 65th birthday of John Bonham.
Over in America, Brian Titchy is again celebrating this date by staging the Bonzo’s Birthday Bash events in New York and New Jersey.
