It may be winter outside….but in here it’s been flaming June courtesy of the recently surfaced soundboard tape of Led Zeppelin’s opening night at Madison Square Garden on the evening of June 7th 1977.  I know exactly what I was doing that day as it was the celebration of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee and I was toasting Her Majesty in several Bedfordshire public houses. Robert Plant & The Band Of Joy took part in the final  show of the current series of BBC2’s Later With Jools Holland last night. They appeared alongside Arcade Fire, soul legend Mavis Staples, Nashville four piece Mona, Adele and Indian folk singer Raghu Dixit.

Robert Plant and the Band of Joy have announced a 15 date North American tour for January and February 2011. These are the first dates in the US since the 12 date tour in July and the one-off New York show in September.
The dates include a two night stint at the War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville.
The dates are as follows:
