I hadn’t slept too well on Thursday even though I went to bed early. I got up around 6am. Gary Foy had sent me an email at 12.04 am. I clicked on and read it – not good news at all as he was informing me that he was also being made redundant in a few weeks from his transport logistics job. He knew it was coming and here’s hoping he can sort something else soon. Tucked within Gary’s email were the following comments:
‘’Just seen news that Jacko may …
Jimmy Page was in attendance at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘’It Might Get Loud’’ on June 19 at the Main Festival Theatre in Westwood California.
This report by Stephen Humphries from Los Angeles for TBL:
The film, which gets a cinema release in the USA on August 21, documents the summit meeting of three guitar legends: Page, White, and The Edge.
In the film, the three icons sit on couches in a massive movie studio soundstage and lean toward each other in intimate conversation about their approach to playing the guitar. …
The clips and media coverage of the ‘It Might Get Loud’ film blazed out a simple message in my view.
Jimmy Page has still got it. In spades.
He looked well at ease at the press conference and ever articulate. Even on the few short clips released, this film is sure to be essential viewing. The jam on In My Time Of Dying with Jimmy playing the Gibson Custom looks amazing. Amongst his peers The Edge and Jack White, Jimmy is every bit the regal statesmen of the guitar. With new …
Another intensive week spent pouring over matters of the Knebworth variety. This thing seems to have taken on a life of its own.

Not bad for an idea that came to me cycling back from town less than six weeks ago! I was also …

Don’t’ quite know what brought it on –maybe sitting through the dreadful Champions League Final (sorry Max!), but next day woke up with the nasty inner ear viral infection causing vertigo and nausea that laid me low back in 2006. Spent the day in bed and even had the Doc out who gave me an injection. (Did I not like that!). Those here know of my complete fear of needles and the like – when it comes to such things I’m the biggest wimp going – a fact confirmed by …
